Mark DeWet Safaris offers hunts throughout South Africa, however our main hunting concessions are situated in the Limpopo, Eastern Cape / Karoo and KwaZulu Natal Provinces.

Limpopo Province – Terrain and vegetation vary greatly within our hunting concessions from rolling hills, grassy plains, mountains and riverine thickets. This type of vegetation is ideal for supporting a variety of species, and is renowned for producing top quality trophies, such as Greater Kudu, Gemsbuck, Eland, Waterbuck, Impala and Leopard.

Eastern Cape / Karoo – A vista of magnificent scenery awaits you when on safari in this area, from rugged mountains, open plains and coastal dune forests. Here one will see herds of Springbuck, Black Wildebeest, Blesbuck and Red Hartebeest. Species endemic to this area are Vaal Rhebuck, Blue Duiker, Cape Grysbuck, Bushbuck and Eastern Cape Kudu. Comfortable and modern hunting lodges are the norm in our areas.

KwaZulu Natal – Home of the proud Zulu nation, this area is unique from other parts of the country. Due to its warm climate and sub tropical vegetation, it is well suited to host a large variety of different species. Hunting here is special in its own way, and is also the natural habitat for the beautiful and elusive Nyala antelope. Depending on the area hunted, accommodation can vary from well appointed hunting lodges, luxury tented camps or rustic comfortable reed and thatch chalets. Traditional, wholesome home-style cooking, venison, fresh fruit, vegetables, salad and freshly baked bread is served in all our camps/lodges.

Accommodation during your hunt will be in either luxury East African style safari tents with all modern amenities or in comfortable uniquely styled African hunting lodges.

PREMIUM HUNTS: Hunt your plainsgame species in an exclusive Big Game Conservancy, where the hunter will have the opportunity to pursue top quality antelope trophies in an area that boasts Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino and Leopard, where the hunter must be alert at all times to the possibility of encountering dangerous game.

Our Premium Safaris are based on the concept that the serious antelope hunter, will have the opportunity to pursue their trophies in a dangerous or big game area, where the chance of seeing Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino, Leopard and Lion are not uncommon. These hunting concessions are in excess of 80 000 acres, and makes for a fantastic classic safari experience!
